Art blooms at Fitchburg Art Museum

SUBMITTED PHOTO FITCHBURG – What is blossoming at the art museum this weekend? The “2010 Art in Bloom”, featuring sights and scents of extraordinary floral interpretations of the museum’s collections, will be celebrated Friday, April 30 through Sunday, May 2, at the museum located at 25 Merriam Parkway (handicapped accessible).
The celebration will kick off with the “Tasty Bouquet” event from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday evening. Enjoy appetizers and desserts. Tickets are $45.
Over the weekend, visitors will enjoy free lectures, guided tours and a courtyard luncheon (cost is $8) from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. A children’s workshop will be offered from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and a top floral designer presentation will be held from 7 until 10 p.m. Saturday.
