Tempe garage to become a work of art

Today it's a parking garage, later on it will become a work of art.
Tempe artist Wiley Wallace is about to begin work on a colorful mural 25 feet tall and 25 feet wide on the side of a parking garage that overlooks the Downtown Tempe Urban Garden at the southwest corner of 5th Street and Forest Avenue.
The mural, called Growing Garden, will depict a surrealist look at the cycle of gardening and was expected to be completed by early July.
It is funded by the nonprofit Downtown Tempe Community.
Wallace was selected as the artist by a committee of staff, local artists and members of the Tempe Arts Commission.
