In case you own a BlackBerry and you are an avid reader of e-books too, then there is some really good news for you.We told you earlier about the launch of Amazon Kindle For India with International Wireless From AT&T. Now Amazon.com, world’s largest retailers of books and also the sellers of the Kindle e-book reader, has announced a “Kindle for BlackBerry” app for select BlackBerrys -The Bold 9000, Bold 9700, Curve 8520, Curve 8900, Storm 9530, Storm 9550 and Tour 9630.
This app will enable blackberry users to access over 400,000 Kindle books on their Blackberry devices. The app is currently available only in the US and works only on those BlackBerry devices that are served by AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon networks. Amazon plans to release the app in other countries gradually. The app is freely download-able and lets you purchase e-books, download samples, read the beginning of books before purchasing one, straight off your BlackBerry.
Just like the online version, this mobile app of Kindle also automatically synchronizes your last page read and annotations between devices with Whispersync. You can also create bookmarks and view the annotations you created on your Kindle, computer, or other Kindle-compatible mobile device. To download a copy of the free app, visit: amazon.com/kindlebb.
