Maraka showcased 15 outfits in 12 minutes, to a collection of fashion enthusiasts and buyers.
“It was an amazing event, a great platform for the Brenda Makara label especially for the sheer potential mass market for my work,” says an ecstatic Maraka.
She displayed designs from her Flower Power collection as well as new designs that she made especially for the show in London. She also included designs from her colorful tie and dye collection of one arm and strapless, fit and flare gowns.
“For a relatively small fee, I was able to take part in Fashions Finest Fashion week which gave me so much exposure. It is unfortunate that I would never be able to do the same here at the same cost,” she says.
Her authentic African designs have established her label as one of the leading fashion houses in Uganda and she is geared to take on the world.
